"The Swing Era is back"

When T. J. dedicated his band to Swing in 1984, people had already forgotten about Swing and called it all Jazz. Today this is different. Now Jazz festivals are announced under the name "Swing". As well, many solo entertainer use the “Swing” name in his program and even food items and cars get this nickname “Swing”, but without the true understanding of the meaning of the word “Swing”.

The first musicians of Tony’s early band came originally from Marching Bands and they played musical arrangements of all sorts. Slowly, and with lots of expense, this gave Toni and his band their own unique style. Tony listened to old records and wrote every single note on paper and that now they all have a copy of the original music.
Tony made uniforms, worked on the stage equipment, and made contacts to the States and England, all to be able to present this music live for the fans and to fulfill his own life long dream of having a swing band.
In 1996, he was able to fulfill his goal of going on tour in the States. He participated with 20 musicians, 4 singers, and 27 fans that followed him from Europe to the 20th Glenn Miller Festival. He was honored there with the award of being the "Most Authentic Glenn Miller Sound".
With that success, there started to be controversy within the band. Some musicians thought it was solely their own personal talent that made the band successful and that they could do better alone and therefore left the band. Tony replaced these musicians with disciplined and professionally devoted Austrian musicians and left in 1998 for the second time to the States. There he received the compliment again of having
